This blog was made as an outlet for me to vent about the growing epidemic of the incorrect usage of "good" vs "well." "Good" is an adjective. It describes nouns or pronouns. "Well" is normally an adverb. It describes verbs (sometimes adjectives) and is used with most other verbs. "Well" as an adjective means "healthy."
good vs. well
I started this blog to bring attention to the rampant misuse of "good" and "well." Basically, I can't take it anymore, and I need a place to vent. Just because most people get it wrong doesn't make it correct English. I have my mother to blame who has an English degree and drilled it into me until finally I knew the difference between when to use "good" and when to use "well." She also taught me the difference between "can" and "may," and "principal" and "principle." So watch your adjectives and adverbs because if I overhear you botching it up you'll end up in the blog!
